Delhi traffic advisory for religious procession Sunday

NEW DELHI - A traffic advisory was Saturday issued as a religious procession on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh would be taken out in the capital Sunday by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee.

“The annual procession will begin from Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in central Delhi and is likely to terminate late in the evening in Hari Nagar in west Delhi,” a police officer said.

There is also likelihood of slowing down of traffic along the route of the procession. The areas likely to be affected are New Delhi, parts of Central Delhi and West Delhi, including Ring Road at Raja Garden.

“General public and motorists are advised to avoid these routes and follow the directions given by traffic policemen posted all along the route. Citizens are also requested to make use of the Metro,” the official added.
