KOLKATA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — The holy month of Ramadan unites all Muslims in fasting, worship and prayer. It’s a time for contemplation, spirituality and brotherhood.
The Holy Month of Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calender. This year the month falls between the period August 11- September 9. Muslims fast from first light until sundown, abstaining from food and drink, 30 days starting today. Those, who are sick, elderly, or on a journey, and women who are pregnant are exempted from taking fast and make up an equal number of days later in the year. Physically handicapped persons, who fail to cope up with the ritual must feed a person in need for every day missed. The fasting during Ramadan is regarded principally as a method of self purification and divine enlightenment.
Here is a collection of classic Ramadan Greetings Card and SMS to send your friends and relatives on this auspicious religious occasion.

All darkness is far away,
As light is on its way;
Wish all of u a very happy Ramadan
