MUMBAI - Raksha Bandhan, marking the start of the festive season, was celebrated Tuesday with fervour in Maharashtra as sisters tied rakhis (decorative threads) on the wrists of their brothers and fishermen marked the beginning of the fishing season.

PAHALGAM, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- This year's pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Amarnath in Northern India will commence on July 1 and end on August 24, 2010 which is also the day of Raksha Bandhan.
