BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Ugadi, the beginning of a new year for the people of southern India will begin from today, March16. The day is held auspicious as it marks the beginning of a new year. While Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka mark this day as Ugadi, people of Maharashtra celebrate the same occasion but under a different name, Gudi Padwa.
