NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Today, the Mahavir Jayanti is being celebrated in various parts of India by the followers of the founder of Jain religion, Lord Mahavir. He also added that the sayings of the leader serve as a light for the devotees. Massive processions are likely to be held in various parts of the country to celebrate the occasion. Parkash Singh Badal, the chief minister of Punjab has also greeted the residents on Mahavir Jayanti. He said that Lord Mahavir believed in communal harmony and universal brotherhood, the values that are relevant in the present times. He appealed to the residents to adhere to the path of harmony to strengthen national integrity.
