Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Escapes Gunfire

BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who happens to be the founder of “Art of Living” escaped gunfire on Sunday evening. Reportedly, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was in his convoy back in his ashram when the gunman fired bullets at him. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was attending a discourse when the incident happen. Although Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was saved, a disciple of the spiritual guru was hurt in his leg.
Following the gunfire on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Karnataka Home Minister V. S. Acharya told the media that the police is conducting an investigation and will soon get hold of the gunman. The minister further said that the state will do anything to protect him because Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is one of the greatest social reformer of modern times.
Girish Govind who happens to be a close disciple of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar told the media that he was present at the spot when the gunman openly hurled bullets at the convoy of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He said that neither Sri Sri Ravi Shankar nor the members of the ashram are afraid of anyone. As a matter of fact, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar addressed a different discourse on that very evening where he mentioned about the gunfire.
Girish Govind also said that the ashram members suspect that the gunfire is the work of the terrorists trying to kill their spiritual guru. However, it was informed that the cops haven’t declared anything or haven’t issued any kind of message to the ashram. However, the security levels of the ashram have been increased to make sure that such incidents can be stopped.
