SAN FRANCISCO, (GaeaTimes.com)- The day before Ash Wednesday is celebrated all over the world by the Catholic Christians as the Fat Tuesday. This year Fat Tuesday will be followed on 16th February and the day is also called Mardi Gras. The day is spent in celebration and merry making as from the next day the Catholics will follow the life of fast and abstinence from any kind of merry making for the next 46 days before Easter. The whole of America and the world is ready to celebrate the Fat Tuesday this year.
United States President Barack Obama too has good news for the Americans. He promises to bring new jobs for the citizens. On 17th February the White House will be celebrating the first Anniversary of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and for this $862 billion will be distributed all over the nation, which will surely create jobs for the Americans. The Vice President of United States, Joe Biden will start the celebration of Fat Tuesday by visiting Saginaw, Michigan which is suffering from an economic crisis.
Along with these, people all over the world will make the celebration by wearing masks and colorful costumes and would come out on the road. At the same time, dances will bestaged in many parts of America. People also come out in large groups to celebrate Fat Tuesday by dancing on road and this year too similar performances are lined up according to sources. According to reports, many sports competitions are scheduled to be held throughout the day.
