Akshaya Tritiya is also alternately spelt as Akhshaya Tritiya, Akshya Thiritiya, Akshaya Trutheeya, Akshaya Tritiiya, Akshaya Trithi. The holy day falls on the third (Tritiya) Lunar day (Tithi) of the new moon or bright half (Shukla Pakhsha) in the first month (Vaishakha) of the Indian traditional calendar.
