Akshaya Tritiya To Witness 20,000 Weddings

DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Sunday May 16 which happens to the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya is all set to witness a huge number of weddings in Delhi. Reportedly, couples have lined up to tie the knot on this day of Akshaya Tritiya which is considered to be a holy day according to the Indian Calender.
Among such a huge wedding rush in Delhi, there has been scarcity for the wedding venues which are in high demand for the day. As a matter of fact, people have already booked wedding venues well in advance of one month so that they can hold their marriage on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. The marriage consultants and the venue owners told the media that there has been more than 10,000 bookings in the past month. It was said that the wedding parties have insisted the venue owners to book the house for them so as to make sure that the occasion takes place on Akshaya Tritiya.
Owing to the huge wedding rush on Akshaya Tritiya, Delhi High Court has gone ahead to issue an order which puts a ban on the weddings which were all scheduled to held in over 600 Municipal Parks of the city. The marriage decorators regard this day which brings upon good fortune for all of them as they get more clients on Akshaya Tritiya.
Besides the heavy demand for wedding houses, Akshaya Tritiya is also witnessing a huge customer rush in the prominent beauty parlors of the city where both men and women have lined up from the morning. As the day progresses, it is speculated that the traffic situation is about to get worse asmajorityof people in the city will beattendingthe marriage parties.
