TIRUCHENDUR - Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa Saturday offered prayers at temples in Tamil Nadu and said that he would complete his term and the Bharatiya Janata Party would return to power in his state.

He was here to seek the divine grace of Subramania Swami, the main deity at the Thiruchendur Murugan temple, around 560 km from Tamil Nadu capital Chennai.

After offering prayers to Subramania Swami, Yeddyurappa participated in a special ‘yagna’ session held at the Chaththru Samhara Murthy Swami Sannadhi inside the temple.

Speaking to reporters here, Yeddyurappa said: “I will complete the term and the party will come back to power for another five years.”

He said the Karnataka government will be building a guest house here for the benefit of people from his state visiting the temple.

Flying in to Tuticorin in a special plane, Yeddyurappa reached here in a car.

He later visited Madurai to offer prayers at the Meenakshi Amman temple.
