Tamil Nadu leaders greet Muslims on eve of Milad-un-Nabi

CHENNAI - Leaders in Tamil Nadu Tuesday greeted Muslims on the eve of Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Mohammed.

Conveying his heartiest greetings to Muslims in Tamil Nadu and in other places Governor Surjit Singh Barnala said: “On this solemn occasion, let us pledge to carry on the message of Prophet Mohammed to the youth and rededicate ourselves to promote brotherhood, love, peace and forgiveness.”

In his greetings, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said Prophet Mohammed preached love and peace.

Greeting the Muslims, AIADMK General Secretary J. Jayalalithaa said: Let us pledge to create conditions in Tamil Nadu so that all live happily and also promote peace and brotherhood as preached by Prophet Mohammed.
