Dubai, July 18 (IANS/WAM) Dubai’s low cost airline flydubai Sunday announced the full reimbursement - minus taxes - of the travel costs of its passengers during the holy month of Ramadan between Aug 15 and Sep 6.

The offer will be on all flydubai flights to and from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Sudan.

A first of its kind, no other airline in the region has offered its passengers travelling within specific dates a full fare refund, the airline said in a statement.

Passengers will only have to pay the taxes for certain flights booked before Aug 1 with travel dates from Aug 15 to Sep 6 and the fare will be returned to them in the form of a voucher via email by Sep 9. Passengers can use these vouchers on any flydubai flight until Dec 8.

Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “Ramadan is the month of giving and a great time to connect with family and friends. We at flydubai are making it simple for our customers to reach out to their loved ones during the holy month of Ramadan. We believe in giving our customers genuine offers and schemes which are not only exciting but also unmissable.”
