Art of Living ashram to open in China

BANGALORE - Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will embark on a two-day tour of China Sunday to open the first Art of Living ashram in Beijing.

This is the first ever visit by an Indian spiritual leader to China.

Ravi Shankar will attend a public satsang at the ashram, co-organised by the state-run Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the Art of Living Foundation said.

On Oct 25, he will be received by CPAFFC president Chen Hao Su. Ravi Shsnkar will lead a Health and Happiness yoga camp in Beijing later in the day.

Ravi Shankar will also be chief guest at a programme entitled ‘Conversations of the Masters’. It will be an interactive session between him and other prominent religious leaders.

Several Art of Living teachers from Bangalore have visited and trained over two dozen Chinese teachers in Shanghai and Beijing over the last two years. Art of Living courses are taught in 15 cities in China.
