MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Muslims in India and other parts of the world are all set to celebrate Eid on Saturday and in the meantime Bollywood is gearing up to woo the viewers with some of the much awaited flicks of the year. Actor Salman Khan who is known for his macho image among the Indian cone viewers is pinning his hopes on his upcoming movie ‘Dabangg’ which hits the theaters this Friday. This is a big release for the star and its release timing coinciding with Eid is not merely coincidence. Earlier also many Salman Khan movies were released on the occasion and they did good business at the box office. The film which has been in the news for several reasons including a raunchy item number Munni Badnaam Huyi is the launch vehicle for dbutante Sonakshi Sinha.

The actor is also upbeat about the release of the film on the eve of Eid and his brother Arbaaz Khan who has produced it is expecting it to be a big hit. The star fared badly at the box office this year with the magnum opus Veer and the flops like ‘London Dreams’ and ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’ injured his prospects. He expects to redeem his image with Dabangg which is said to be a thorough entertainer.

‘Wanted’ another smash hit starring the actor was also released on Eid last year. ‘Dabangg’ has certain similarities with that film including the timing of release. The actor said that he had put lots of effort and underwent a strenuous exercise regime for the role.
