Eid celebrated in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI - Tamil Nadu celebrated Eid-ul-fitr with the usual fervour Friday as several thousands prayed in mosques across the state.
Breaking their fast, a large number of Muslims assembled in mosques and offered their prayers.
Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, opposition leader J. Jayalalithaa, PMK leader S. Ramadoss and MDMK leader Vaiko greeted Muslims on the occasion.
Eid was celebrated in Tamil Nadu Friday though most parts of the country will observe it Saturday.
